Fabian and Felipe started our creative partnership designing for others and within a year of our collaboration had several of our pieces appear in publications such as *Elle* and *Harper's Bazaar*. Encouraged by family and friends we decided to create our own line where we could let our shared passion for design flourish freely.
Inspired by elements as diverse as the Crusades, mythology, Joan of Arc, and 1930's France, each piece of *Fabian y Felipe Jewelry* is hand-made using the ancient lost wax technique. Though a long and time consuming process, it is one of the elements that imbues our collection with an old-world complexity unattainable in modern techniques.
The combining of two different metals also demands much more individual work, since each metal heats at different temperatures and requires a specific handling, thus every piece is worked on by at least five different people - from the casting process, to oxidizing, to stone setting , to the final polishing.
With only three years in production, *Fabian y Felipe* is owned by celebrities like *Uma Thurman*, *Finola Hughes*, *Ellen Degeneres*, *Patty Griffin*, *Greg Allman*, *Djimon Hounsou*, *Javier Bardem*, *Kate Winslet*, *Penelope Cruz*, *Brad Paisley*, *Jonatha Brooke*, and *Tim McGraw*.
